About me

If I could describe myself in three words they would be passionate, creative and good listener. I love food, going out with friends, watching films, dancing and listening to music. I am an engineer working in the environment, health and safety sector. I love my job but I don’t want to have anything to do with it when I am out of the office (40-50 hours/week are enough). In my free time I am learning french, belly dancing, working out on power plateĀ  and I am going out with friends. As if this wasn’t enough, I have started this blog as well :-) I’ve always wanted to be a writer but as I was always “engaged” with other things and a little lazy I have to admit, I never wrote anything. So, I have been reading other blogs in the last year and I have to admit I was fascinated with the idea. So, here I am …

I promise to all the readers that I will publish at least two blogs per week so help me God.The only thing I want from you is if you like what you are reading (or not) send me your comments and tell your friends to visit as well. Every girl wants some confidence boosting from time to time :-)

  1. Hi Sophie?
I stumbled onto your blog when I googled Kourambiedes. I want to make kourambiedes with my daughter who is visiting from Canada but I didn’t bring my mom’s recipe. I don’t remember Mom karate chopping the dough but other than that your mom’s recipe is pretty much the same as my mom’s. I am going to try your recipe. I am under the impression that you live in Cyprus. I’ll be living in Lemesos for the next 9 months. Thanks for blogging

  2. Hi Pamela,
I am happy that you can use my recipe to make kourambiedes. AS for the “karate” chopping it is my way of saying that you need to press the dough with your fists. Hope this helps. If you have more questions please email me.
P.S. Yes, I live in Cyprus (Nicosia)
